Black chickpea has similar nutritional characteristics to common chickpea, but is tastier and richer in iron and fiber.
The Oro di Giano black chickpeas are grown in an integrated production regime and alternating with cereals, without the use of chemical fertilizers. They are smaller than normal, wrinkled and irregular chickpeas. They have a thin black skin that remains crunchy after cooking, while the inside is white-yellow in color.
We recommend soaking for at least 24 hours and cooking for at least 2 hours. It can be served with a drizzle of oil without adding salt.
